This is a solid analysis. Interestingly, my denomination (Southern Baptists) has been having a bit of a #meToo moment. It has been painful but it has helped women find their voices and feel empowered to speak up about abuse. The unfortunate thing is that the church should have led the way in empowering women to speak up about abuse but it took a movement in the broader culture before it happened in the SBC.
